Kajaanin Romu started as a one-man scrap collection company in 1984. In 2004, Kajaanin Romu entered a phase of heavy investments and strong development to become a modern recycling plant with a shredder of 2000 hp. Nowadays, Kajaanin Romu is one of the foremost metal recycling plants in Finland serving Scandinavian countries from Kajaani, located approximately 500 km northeast of Helsinki.
